The All India Football Federation president Praful Patel Chaired the AIFF’s Executive Committee Meeting held at Hotel Asoka, New Delhi on Friday, October 6.
Besides AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das, Vice Presidents Subrata Dutta, Larsing Ming, Subhash Chopra, K.M.I. Mather, Manavendra Singh, Treasurer Z.A. Thakur, all other members except A.R. Khaleel attended the Meeting.
Chirag Tanna and Rochak Langer representing FSDL attended the meeting as invitees.
Praful Patel mentioned about the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India being a “prestigious milestone” for Indian Football. “As a Nation it’s a very proud moment hosting the Tournament,” he stated.
“It’s been four years since we won the bid to host the FIFA U-17 World Cup. We are 100 percent ready to host the event and the team led by Mr. Javier Ceppi, Mr. Joy Bhattacharyya and Mr. Kushal Das have done a commendable job,” he added.
Praful Patel also mentioned about the FIFA Executive Committee Meeting being held in Kolkata in the last week of October. “This is a huge honour for us as this is the first time they are meeting outside Zurich during a FIFA World Cup,” he stated.
The Committee approved Maria Rebello’s name as a Woman member in the AIFF Referee’s Committee.
Meanwhile Mizoram Football Association general secretary Lalnghinglova Hmar made a presentation on Youth development structure on Mizoram.
