Robert Romawia Royte, Owner and President of Aizawl FC, convened a meeting with the club’s Technical Team at the President’s Chamber to review key issues related to the proposed Indian football calendar.
Addressing the team, Royte remarked, “In Indian football, uncertainty seems to be the only certainty. It is surprising that the I-League start date was announced before a proper decision was taken by the legitimate authority, the AIFF.”
As the senior-most I-League club operating without regulation, Aizawl FC has produced numerous national team players along with many professionals competing in both the ISL and I-League. Emphasising the club’s long-term vision, Royte introduced a comprehensive development initiative titled Project 1000, aimed at providing systematic football training to 1,000 boys and girls, alongside education in spoken Hindi and English, IT skills, and AI studies.
Meanwhile, construction is underway at the AFC Complex in N. Lungleng, on the outskirts of Aizawl city. The project includes a state-of-the-art astroturf football ground, world-class hostels, accommodation for coaching staff, and other modern training facilities.
