The first competitive fixture of the 2023/24 season is confirmed! FC Bayern Munich will take on RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup on Saturday, August 12 after the Saxony club defended their DFB Cup title on Saturday evening with a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Berlin Olympiastadion, lifting the cup for the second time in their history.
It means there’ll be a repeat of last year’s DFL Supercup, when the Bundesliga champions from Munich claimed the first title of the season thanks to a 5-3 victory in Leipzig.
The German Football League (DFL) will confirm the venue of this year’s match shortly.
