Chennai City FC to host AFC Cup home games at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium!

Defending I-League champions Chennai City FC have announced that Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium would be their home venue for the 2020 AFC Cup.

Chennai City FC will host Maldivian champions Maziya S&RC, who eliminated Bengaluru FC, on Wednesday, March 11 at 7.30pm.

Chennai City FC president Rohit Ramesh said, “We tried Coimbatore as our first option, but it could not fill in the standards required for AFC. The team was adamant on playin their home games in Tamil Nadu come what way and pushed aggresively for Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.”

“We at Chennai City FC will take care of the travel expense to bring our fan clubs Southerners and Roaring Lions for our home games in Chennai. Our supporters are an important member of our CCFC family,” Rohit Ramesh added.
