Kolkata giants East Bengal FC have extended the contract of their Brazilian captain Cleiton Silva for another season until summer 2024.
36 year São Geraldo da Piedade-born Cleiton Silva spend the last two campaigns with Bengaluru FC before making the switch to the red and gold last summer.
Before that Cleiton was highly successful in the Thai League with numerous clubs besides also playing in his native Brazil, Mexico and China.
Despite East Bengal FC not making the ISL playoffs, Cleiton Silva led from the front with an impressive 12 goals in 20 league matches to his name.
Now the Brazilian extends his stay in Kolkata and will hope for a more successful season for the club.
