FC Bengaluru United record 4-1 win over HAL FC!

FC Bengaluru United delivered a dominant performance against HAL FC, securing a commanding 4-1 victory in an action-packed game in the ongoing BDFA Super Division tournament. With clinical finishing set up by well-executed long balls and precise crosses, FC Bengaluru United took control early and maintained their intensity throughout. Their 4-1 win (Aquib 33’, Akshunna 35’, 88’, Rakesh 45+2’), showcased a well-rounded team effort that capitalised on crosses and swift attacking play.

FC Bengaluru United started the match on the front foot, gradually ramping up the pressure. Rakesh was presented with a golden opportunity well into the first half with a well-executed pass from Akshuna, but he faltered in a one-on-one with the opposition keeper. However, the breakthrough for FCBU came in the 33rd minute when Akshunna delivered a perfect cross to Aqib, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 1-0. Just two minutes later, Akshunna was on the scoresheet himself, finishing from close range off a well-timed ball from Rakesh.

As the first half drew to a close, Rakesh made it 3-0 in added time, intercepting the ball in midfield and finding the top left corner after a sharp setup by Akshunna. FCBU’s attacking fluidity, combined with precise long balls and sharp crosses, left HAL FC struggling to respond.

HAL FC came out with renewed vigour, pressing higher up the pitch, but FCBU’s defense stood strong, led by goalkeeper Manju, who made a crucial save from a free kick heading for the top corner. Akshunna missed a couple of one-on-one opportunities, but FCBU continued to push forward.

In the 88th minute, Jerry’s perfectly placed cross found Akshunna in the box, and he made no mistake, extending the lead to 4-1. Despite HAL FC pulling one back late in the half, FCBU’s composed defensive display and quick transitions ensured there was no way back for the visitors.

This was a statement win for FC Bengaluru United. All four goals stemmed from well-worked crosses, emphasizing the team’s tactical precision and attacking cohesion. The defense kept calm under pressure, and long balls consistently opened up opportunities. FCBU’s attacking play was sharper than ever, setting a strong tone for the remainder of the tournament.
