Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the fourth rankings of 2022, India dropped three spots to 61st position behind Panama, but ahead of Cameroon.
India have 1406 points, a total of 20 points less than last quarter and stay in 12th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.
The India Women could play their next matches as friendlies in the coming months.
In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (103rd), Bangladesh (140th), Sri Lanka (155th), the Maldives (159th), Pakistan (160th) return to the rankings and Bhutan (177th).
There were changes in the top 5. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners United States (2,087 pts) stay top spot ahead new number two Sweden (2,066 pts) and UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 finalists Germany (2,065 pts) dropping into third, while UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2,052 pts) and France (2,023 pts) complete the top five.
