The Forca Goa Foundation (FGF) have announced the successful conclusion of the third edition of the Little Gaurs League (LGL) Super Cup 2023-24, the cup tournament which marked the closing of the LGL, Goa’s biggest baby league.
The 2023-24 season of the LGL saw the active participation of over 1500 children, leading to an exciting finale of matches at the LGL Super Cup.
This season, the Little Gaurs League expanded to four zones – Sinquetim, Vasco, Monte de Guirim, and the newly added Tuem zone. A total of 158 teams competed across five age categories – U6, U8, U10, U12, and an exclusive U13 girls category – collectively playing an impressive 1018 matches. The LGL Super Cup saw the top two teams from each category in each zone compete, showcasing the growing talent within the grassroots football community.
The LGL Super Cup, held at the Salvador do Mundo Panchayat Ground in Goa on Sunday, saw the participation of 40 teams and over 350 players from across the four zones. The growth in the number of participants engaging in grassroots football is a clear indicator of the increasing passion for the sport.

The LGL Super Cup concluded on Sunday, in the U6 category, the trophy was won by MSDF (Manas Sports Development Foundation), with Football Club YFA (Youth Futsal Academy) finishing as runners up.
In the U8 category, GFDC Navelim (Goa Football Development Council) triumphed as winners, with Football Club YFA (Youth Futsal Academy) securing the second spot.
The U10 category saw Goan Champs claim the top spot, followed by Salgaocar FC in second place.
In the U12 category, the winners were TKSA Titans (The Kings School Academy), with FC Goa as runners up.
The U13 category was dominated by TKS (The Kings School), while Compassion FC finished as runners up.
