FPAI advice players not to sign contracts with ISL/I-League clubs until clarity of league structure!

The Football Players Association of India (FPAI) has come out with a recommendation for its members and players playing in India or interested to play in India in general.

The recommendation stated, “We would request all the Indian players not to sign a contract with any club or franchise until we have a clear picture about the league structure for the upcoming season. The players can contact our office for further information.”

This recommendation from the FPAI comes as it is still unclear what the league structure of Indian club football would be in the upcoming 2017/18 season as players normally sign new or extend their contracts at this time of the year.
