20 football and seven futsal referees convened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the AFC Elite Referees Selection Course on Thursday, September 7.
The four-day programme acts as the final step of a one year path, which aims to evaluate and select referees for the AFC Elite Panel.
The programme began with the AFC Referees Recruitment Course which took place last September, followed by an assessment of two top league matches in which the referees participated.
Both the football and futsal referees will participate in separate courses to be updated with the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game, and go through individual and group quizzes to assess their knowledge.
In the following days, they will also partake in a fitness test and a series of video tests to evaluate their analysis skills.
