Germany Women’s captain Alexandra Popp tests positive for COVID-19!

Captain Alexandra Popp tested positive for the coronavirus as part of the Germany Women’s national team’s UEFA European Championship training camp in Herzogenaurach.

The 31-year-old from VfL Wolfsburg, who had a negative result in the general test at the beginning of the training camp, only feels slight symptoms. She was immediately isolated. Further tests of the entire squad and staff were negative.

On Friday, June 24 (from 5pm, live on ZDF), the DFB women will complete their final endurance test before the UEFA European Championships in England. The team of national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg meets Switzerland in the Steigerwald Stadium in Erfurt.
