FIFA has taken note of the resignation of Reinhard Grindel as a member of the FIFA Council as well as the UEFA Executive Committee.
In accordance with the FIFA Statutes (art. 33 par. 8), UEFA will now have to decide on the replacement of Reinhard Grindel as a UEFA representative on the FIFA Council for the remaining period of office.
Grindel had earlier resigned from his position of DFB president on Wednesday, April 3.
