India defender Sandesh Jhingan extends his contract at Kerala Blasters!

India international centre-back Sandesh Jhingan has extended his contract with Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters for three years until 2022.

25 year old Chandigarh-born Sandesh Jhingan started his football at the local St. Stephen’s Football Academy. He then went for a trial at Baichung Bhutia-owned United Sikkim FC in 2011, who then played in the Second Division League and they got promoted to the I-League.

Talented Jhingan got noticed at the national stage and joined Mumbai FC the season after. In the inaugural Indian Super League draft, Sandesh Jhingan was picked-up by Kerala Blasters and at the end of ISL-1 he won the Emerging Player of the Season award.

Over the next three seasons he spend time on loan with I-League sides Sporting Clube de Goa, DSK Shivajians FC and Bengaluru FC.

Jhingan became a fan favourite, ahead of ISL-4 he was made Kerala Blasters captain and now he extends his stay with the southern franchise.
