I-League newcomers Inter Kashi have announced the appointment of Izumi Arata as their assistant coach for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
40 year old Izumi Arata, who was born in Shimonoseki in Japan, in his youth played locally before going on to play professionally in Singapore, Japan and India.
Izumi Arata played in India for East Bengal Club, Mahindra United, Pune FC, Atletico de Kolkata, Mumbai FC, FC Pune City, NEROCA and Kerala Blasters.
Towards the end of his career, he went on to play for the Indian national team.
Thereafter Izumi Arata focused on his coaching career and his first major role was as head coach of the Reliance Foundation Young Champs academy side.
Now Izumi Arata joins Inter Kashi to work as assistant coach to Carlos Santamarina as they prepare for their I-League debut.
