ISL-4: Kerala Blasters keep playoff hopes alive, win at NorthEast United FC!

NorthEast United FC suffered another home loss, this time a 0-1 loss to Kerala Blasters, who kept their semifinal hopes with these three points alive at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday evening.

As often this season, NorthEast United FC started off like often this season with the better chances but they again couldn’t score and after Nirmal Chhetri had hit his own teams woodwork at the other end, a Jackichand Singh corner was headed into the goal by Wes Brown to give the guests the lead in the 28th minute.

After going behind, NorthEast United FC continued to have their chances but the Kerala Blasters went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

After the break the hosts NorthEast United FC continued to have their chances to equalise with Lalrindika Ralte having the best of them but he only hit the woodwork as the Blasters ended up winning 1-0 and taking the three vital points home to close in on the top four.
