As Jamshedpur FC continue their preparations for the upcoming Indian Super League season, midfielder Pronay Halder underlined the squad’s positive mindset and strong work ethic, stating that the players are fully focused on the present and fully committed to every training session under head coach Owen Coyle.
With senior football resuming after a period of uncertainty, Pronay stressed that the team has chosen to move forward together with clarity and purpose.
“Whatever was uncertain about the league is now in the past,” he said. “Right now, our full focus is on what lies ahead. We are working hard every day, mentally preparing ourselves for the ISL, and the mindset within the group is completely positive.”
The experienced midfielder highlighted the intensity of the ongoing training camp, pointing out that the players are responding strongly to the demands set by the coaching staff.
“The sessions have been high intensity from day one,” Pronay said. “We are following the coach’s instructions in every training session and pushing ourselves to improve each day. Everyone in the squad is switched on and giving their best.”
Reflecting on last season’s semi-final finish, Pronay made it clear that the group is aiming higher this time around.
“Last season, we reached the semifinals, which showed the character of this team,” he said. “But as players, we know we can do better. The aim this season is to raise our level, be more consistent and push ourselves to reach new heights.”
Emphasising the importance of professionalism, the midfielder acknowledged that challenges are part of a footballer’s journey.
“As professionals, we understand that every season brings different situations,” Pronay added. “What matters is how we respond, and right now the response from everyone has been very positive.”
Pronay also had a clear message for the supporters ahead of the new campaign, highlighting the importance of home matches at the Furnace.
“We will have nine home matches this season, and this is a big opportunity for us,” he said. “Playing at the Furnace, in front of our own people, gives us huge energy. We want our fans to come in large numbers and support us, because their backing can make a real difference for the team.”
