Julian Justvan joins TSG Hoffenheim!

Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim have made their first new signing for the 2023/24 season. Julian Justvan is moving to the Kraichgau from Bundesliga 2 club SC Paderborn. The 25-year-old winger has signed a contract with TSG until June 30, 2027.

“Julian made a name for himself through his strong performances in the Bundesliga 2 for SC Paderborn. He is very fast, technically strong and his outstanding goal-scoring rate for a player of his position speaks for itself,” says TSG’s director of football, Alexander Rosen. The former German youth international is “a very exciting player who can play on both flanks as a left-footer and thus offers an interesting additional component to our squad. It speaks volumes about him that he is ready to take on the role of someone challenging for a place in the team, and I trust that he can be a real surprise in the new season.”

“After three years with SC Paderborn, I am now eager to make the next step in my career and am ready to take on this great challenge,” said Julian Justvan on his move to TSG, where he will wear the number 17 on his shirt. “I also want to establish myself in the Bundesliga and I see the ideal conditions here in Hoffenheim for me to further my development as a player.”

Justvan, who came through the youth set-up of TSV 1860 Munich, moved to second-tier club SC Paderborn in 2020 and immediately became a fixture in the starting line-up. He was able to make a strong contribution to Paderborn’s attacking play, scoring five goals and setting up eight others in 34 games in the Bundesliga 2 last season. In addition, he scored two goals and provided two assists in three DFB-Pokal matches. In total, the 25-year-old made 102 appearances for the East Westphalians in his three years at the club, scoring 11 goals and providing 21 assists.
