Jürgen Klinsmann is no more South Korea head coach!

The Korean Football Association (KFA) have announced that it has released Germany’s Jürgen Klinsmann as the South Korea head coach.

Jürgen Klinsmann took South Korea to the semifinals of the AFC Asian Cup 2023, but he never seemed to be a fans favourite in Korea, where there are always high expectations from their national coach.

Chung Mong-gyu, president of the Korea Football Association, said, “After a comprehensive review of the discussions, the Korea Football Association has finally decided to replace the head coach of the national team.”

“Klinsmann has not shown the coaching and leadership qualities we expect from a South Korean national team manager, such as game management, player management, and work attitude, which make the national team competitive.”

“The national football team is more than just a sports team, it is a team that represents the Republic of Korea in name and reality, gaining the attention and support of the people and returning its energy to the people. It should continue to be so.”

“However, after a lot of discussion and opinions, it was decided that Klinsmann’s competitiveness and attitude as a head coach did not meet the expectations and sentiments of the people, and that it would be difficult to improve in the future, so he decided to change the command before the FIFA World Cup 26 Qualifiers.”

“It’s time to reorganize the national football team.”

1990 FIFA World Cup winner Jürgen Klinsmann has always been his own man, be it for Germany, Bayern Munich or the United States.
