Mizoram FA holds Special General Body Meeting!

The Mizoram Football Association held a Special General Body Meeting yesterday, January 27 at its site in Sairang Dinthar Veng.

Representatives from each District Football Association attended the Special GB meeting which was conducted by MFA president Lal Thanzara.

Key subjects discussed during the Special GB include plans for the remainder of the 2020-21 season and also the effects of Covid-19 on football throughout the state of Mizoram.

The meeting decided to prioritise the health and safety of footballers as well as officials and necessary personnel ultimately resulting in forgoing the MFA Cup as well as Inter District Junior and Sub-Junior competitions in the state.

Meanwhile, the Special GB also gave authority to the District FAs to organise football activities within its jurisdiction in coordination with its respective district authorities.

The MFA president thanked the District and Zone delegates during the meeting while also expressing his pleasure at the new artificial pitch which will soon be operational at the MFA site.

The Special GB also held a memorial service for Executive Member Dr. Lalzarmawia Khiangte who passed away on August 7, 2020 in Aizawl.
