Former ISL champions Mumbai City FC have confirmed that playmaker Nasser El Khayati has left the Club after agreeing to a mutual termination of his contract.
Nasser, who joined Mumbai City in September 2023, expressed his desire to leave the Islanders to pursue opportunities closer to home in Europe. The Dutch midfielder registered a goal to his name in the Islanders’ 2023-24 AFC Champions League campaign, scoring against PFC Navbahor. He also scored crucial goals against Bengaluru FC in the ISL and against Gokulam Kerala FC in the Kalinga Super Cup.
