The semifinals line-up for the Beach Soccer competition in the Diu Beach Games 2024 was completed on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. While Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu made the last four grades on Monday, to join them on Tuesday were Rajasthan (Group A) and Lakshadweep and Maharashtra (Group B).
In the penultimate rounds on Wednesday, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu will take on Maharashtra and Rajasthan will lock horns with Lakshadweep.
In the remaining group league matches, Rajasthan handed out an 8-3 defeat to Gujarat with Sujal Saini scoring twice for the winners. In the same group, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu completed their league engagements in style, routing Andaman and Nicobar 14-5. Laishram Prosanannda Singh once again displayed his class by netting four goals.
The semifinals spots from Group B went in favour of Lakshadweep and Maharashtra as they got the better of Odisha and Goa, respectively.
