Sreenidi Deccan FC face I-League new boys Namdhari FC!

Sreenidi Deccan FC are aiming to continue their winning run as they take on new I-League entrants Namdhari FC at the Namdhari Stadium in Bhaini Sahib, Punjab on Sunday, November 26.

The Deccan Warriors are fresh off a 2-1 win over Rajasthan United which kept them in second place while Namdhari FC, who suffered a 0-3 defeat away to Aizawl FC, occupy 10th place in the I-League points table.

Sreenidi Deccan FC head coach Carlos Vaz Pinto addressed the media ahead of the fixture and he was satisfied with his team’s performances so far this campaign. “I am happy with the way we have played so far this season but as a coach, I always want more,” he said. “We are getting good results but there is always room for improvement and I have made that clear to the boys.”

Namdhari FC are languishing near the bottom of the standings in their debut I-League campaign but the Portuguese tactician is not expecting a free pass. “Namdhari are in need of points and they will be playing at home so I expect a difficult game tomorrow as they have some good players who will give it everything,” he said. “Like always, we have a plan for this particular opponent and we have to trust in ourselves to execute it.”

The match will kick off at 2pm IST and will be telecast live on Eurosport India, the Indian Football YouTube channel and the FanCode App.
