Right-back Thomas Meunier is leaving Borussia Dortmund with immediate effect to join Turkish Süper Lig fourth-placed Trabzonspor.
“For Thomas, there was a short-term opportunity this week to join a new club before the end of the transfer window. We have complied with his request for this move, would like to thank Thomas for his commitment and wish him all the best for his sporting and private future,” said Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
Meunier, who joined Dortmund from Paris in the summer of 2020, has since made 86 competitive appearances (3 goals, 8 assists) for BVB.
