VIDEO – Prudent Media: Vedanta Goa Women’s League launched!

As Prudent Media reports from Panjim, the Vedanta Goa Women’s League was launched last night with 137 players drafted into six new teams.

The league was launched in the presence of the legends of 1977 Women’s National Championship winners in Panaji on Monday.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar hailed the newly-conceptualised league and also appealed to the football-related organisations to keep politics out and focus on improving the standard of the game in Goa.

The league draw will be announced on November 13 while the first match will be played on November 18 under floodlights at the Duler Stadium.

The six participating teams are Albert Princess, Flaming Oranje, Panaji Dolphins, Cuncolim Warriors, St Cruz Cavelossim and Goa Velha Saints.
