Ahead of the Indian Super League Draft yesterday, July 23; TATA Steel launched the logo of the new ISL expansion franchise Jamshedpur FC.
The video above portrays how the pioneers of the TATA Group played a pivotal role in revolutionising sports in the city of Jamshedpur and in the rest of the eastern India. TATA Steel was also responsible for introducing world class football in India in the year 1984 through the Super Soccer Series. JRD Tata laid the foundation of the Tata Football Academy over three decades ago and ever since then the institution has produced extremely talented footballers over so many years. In order to preserve the tribal heritage and sports, the logo of the brand new ISL team Jamshedpur FC has been crafted with the tribal designs.
