XtraTime VIDEO: East Bengal’s Nitu Sarkar on IFA secretary resignation!

XtraTime spoke with East Bengal official Debabrata ‘Nitu’ Sarkar about his look on things regarding the IFA secretary Joydeep Mukherjee resignation following events involving the red and gold.

Earlier in a shocking move, the Indian Football Association (West Bengal) secretary Joydeep Mukherjee has handed in his resignation letter.

The decision to resign came after yesterday IFA president Ajit Banerjee took it on him to clear an additional inter-state player to play for East Bengal Club Women’s team in the ongoing Kanyashree Cup. Only two are allowed and East Bengal had three on the field by including Meena Khatun into the squad and playing eleven. That was questioned by their semifinal opponents Police AC and the authorities, which in the end led to the secretary resignation.
