Mizoram Premier League: Bethlehem Vengthlang FC see off challenge from Ramhlun North FC!

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC moved into third place of the Mizoram Premier League after coming out victors against Ramhlun North FC in a 2-1 victory.

A bright start from Bethlehem Vengthlang FC saw Nuntluanga test Ramhlun North FC’s goalkeeper Rinhlua early on as both teams displayed vibrant attacking football.

And it was last season’s finalists who broke the deadlock on the 16th minute when Dinliana Varte finished off a ball from Lalthazuala.

Desperate for an equaliser before halftime Ramhlun North tried hard but in vain to create clear cut opportunities.

But their efforts in the first half bore immediate fruit as Lalremruata capitalised when Bethlehem Vengthlang FC goalkeeper Ruatpuia failed to collect the ball properly and gave Ramhlun North FC the goal they were searching for.

Both teams scrambled for an equaliser but were found lacking in the final third. And it was Bethlehem Vengthlang FC who came up with the winner on the 66th minute with a brilliant freekick from P.C. Vanlalzuia.

P.C. Laldinpuia of Bethlehem Vengthlang FC was named man of the match.

Result
Bethlehem Vengthlang FC 2-1 Ramhlun North FC
(B: Laldinliana Varte 16′, Vanlalzuia Hnamte 86′; R: Lalremruata 46′)
