Identity and data platform Verimi will partner German Bundesliga side and German Cup winners Eintracht Frankfurt for at least one year.
As part of the partnership, Eintracht Frankfurt will integrate Verimi’s services, including the ‘Verimi Login’, into its digital output. Verimi aims to give back data ownership to all internet users. The platform offers a universal login for all online services with a single username and password, meaning that every time a user logs on or makes a purchase, the data stored on the Verimi servers can be accessed. Users maintain control of how their data is used at all times. In the future, Verimi will also offer payment and identity functions.
“In Verimi, we have a strong partner at our side who will take up a very modern and important area within our organisation,” said board member Axel Hellmann. “The fields of data and payment are hugely important in the digital world and we’re delighted to have such a strong company like Verimi at our side.”
The agreement also includes marketing measures, including the visibility of the company logo and perimeter advertising on the pitch-side hoardings at home games at the Commerzbank-Arena. There will also be a focus on digital campaigns.
Verimi is the new European cross-industry identity and data platform. Verimi combines a convenient central login with the highest levels of security and data protection in accordance with European law, giving users full control over how their personal data is used. Verimi was founded in May 2017 and is backed by a broad conglomerate of international companies.
