The AIFF Elite Academy U-16 was held to a 1-1 draw by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim U-20, Goa on an artificial turf on July 22.
Cavelossim went ahead in the second minute on before AIFF equalised through Bekey Oram right after the half hour mark to share the honours.
AIFF fell back soon after the whistle but the boys recovered to gain control. The boys dominated the proceedings and inevitable goal arrived in the 33rd minute from Bekey. In the second half the winner remained elusive as the Cavelossim boys just about managed to hold on, while they were forced into numerous saves & blocks by the U-16 colts.
