Former Wales international of Indian origin Neil Taylor retires!

Former Wales international defender of Indian origin Neil Taylor on Monday, November 7 announced his retirement from professional football.

33 year old Neil John Taylor, who was born in St. Asaph in Wales to a Welsh father and a Bengali mother from Kolkata, played locally before joining the Manchester City Academy.

Neil then moved to the Wrexham AFC youth teams, where he also made his senior debut. Then he had a long stint with Swansea City AFC for seven seasons before playing for four seasons for Aston Villa before playing for Middlesbrough FC in the last season.

Neil Taylor played for the Wales youth teams before becoming a full international. He would go on to play 43 senior internationals for Wales and also represent Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.

Neil Taylor has been for over a decade one of the few British Asian footballers at the top level of professional football.

I wish Neil Taylor all the best for the career after the career!
