Germany U-17 Women’s trio around coach Kromp to miss FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup semifinal!

In addition to head coach Friedrike Kromp, goalkeeper Eve Boettcher and central defender Annaleen Boehler will miss the semifinals of 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup against Spain on Wednesday, October 26 (from 4.30pm, live on FIFA+) in Goa, India. All three had tested positive for the coronavirus last week and are still in isolation due to local quarantine regulations.

Alara Şehitler, who also previously tested positive for Covid-19, has already left isolation and will be available to the Germany U-17 Women’s team for the semifinals in Goa.

In the semifinals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, it comes against Spain to the new edition of the UEFA U-17 European Championship final, which the DFB selection had won 3-2 on penalties in May.

As with the 2-0 in FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup quarterfinals against Brazil, head coach Friedrike Kromp will be replaced by her assistant coaches Melanie Behringer and Julia Simic.
