Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of defender Gaurav Bora for the 2022/23 season.
24 year old Gaurav Bora, born in the Assam capital of Guwahati, in his youth played for
Baichung Bhutia Football School before being signed by the FC Pune City Academy.
On loan at Chennai City FC, Gaurav Bora made his senior professional debut. He returned the next season to play for the FC Pune City B side before another loan spell with Chennai City FC.
In 2019, Gaurav Bora moved to Delhi Dynamos and shifted with the club to Odisha FC in 2020 and spend the last couple of seasons with the Juggernauts.
NorthEast United FC technical director Ohad Efrat said, “Bora is one of the best center-backs in the league. A local lad too, who is at the peak of his career.”
“We are confident that he will help us to be one of the best defences in the league.”
