The Rajasthan state men’s team scored a vital 1-0 win over neighbours Gujarat in their 71st Santosh Trophy – West Zone qualifiers match in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan after their opening day 0-4 loss to Maharashtra bounced back today.
It was a nail biting encounter in the first session but it remained goalless at the break despite Rajasthan having numerous good chances to score.
It would stay goalless until Rajasthan captain Gulfan netted the winner late and it would stay this way at the final whistle and it marked a historic first Rajasthan win in the Santosh Trophy in a decade.
