Struggling I-League giants East Bengal Club have announced the signing of young left back Monotosh Chakladar for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.
21 year Monotosh Chakladar was part of the 2019 Calcutta Football League winning Peerless SC squad in which he was a key player.
Monotosh Chakladar started his football with the youth teams of United SC before playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club and Pathachakra FC in the CFL.
Last season, Monotosh Chakladar played for Gokulam Kerala FC in the 2018/19 I-League before making the move back to Kolkata to play for Peerless SC. Now he makes a move back to the I-League with East Bengal, who hope he can prove his form like in the CFL.
