Mohammed Rafique Ali Sardar signs Jamshedpur FC extension till 2020!

Another player from Jamshedpur FC’s debut Indian Super League season signed a contract extension as Mohammed Rafique Ali Sardar signed a deal to be with the club till 2020. The 20-year-old goalkeeper was the first ever pick from Tata Football Academy by Jamshedpur FC.

On signing the deal Rafique claimed that he really loved his first season in top-tier football as he said, “I am happy to continue at Jamshedpur FC. It gives me great confidence to have earned the trust of the club’s management.”

The youngster had some great guidance with veteran goalkeeper Subrata Paul and Goalkeeping Coach Bobby Mimms there to mentor him. “It was a great learning experience wit Mistu Da (Subrata) and Bobby sir,” exclaimed Rafique.

The goalkeeper was modest when asked about his chances of becoming a regular feature on the pitch as he said, “I am still in my learning phase and I hope to get better everyday. And when I get the chance, I will give my all for the people of Jamshedpur for the love they have shown to the club.”

Mohammed Rafique Ali Sardar is the ninth player retained from Jamshedpur FC’s debut season. The list includes Tiri, Subrata Paul, Memo Moura, Wellington Priori, Bikash Jairu, Yumnam Raju, Farukh Choudhary and Sumeet Passi.
