1.FC Heidenheim Head of Sport Robert Strauss to leave!

1.FC Heidenheim Head of Sport Robert Strauss will leave 1 FC Heidenheim 1846 at his own request on June 30, 2024.

The 37-year-old took over this position, with responsibility for sporting issues relating to the first team and the HARTMANN Youth Performance Centre, at the beginning of July 2022.Previously, the long-time FCH professional (from January 2012 to July 2020) had already worked as assistant to the board at FCH immediately after the end of his playing career.

“The reason for my decision is that I simply want to have more time for my family and children in the future,” Robert Strauß explains his decision and adds: “I am incredibly grateful to all those responsible at FCH for giving me the chance to start my career after my career and to gain valuable experience in a responsible position. For me, this ends twelve and a half successful years in a wide variety of functions on and off the pitch in Heidenheim. Of course, I will remain loyal to FCH as a big fan in the future!”

FCH CEO Holger Sanwald explains, “Robby has done an outstanding job with us in recent years as Head of Sport, taking on responsibility and repeatedly contributing his experience as a former professional. We would have liked to keep him all the more in the future, but at the same time his reasons are of course understandable to us. We would like to thank Robby in advance for everything he has done for us in his long time at FCH and wish him only the best, both professionally and privately!”

Robert Strauss’s previous duties will be taken over by Holger Sanwald, who is responsible for sports on the board, until further notice.
