1.FC Köln extend Mark Uth’s contract until 2025!

Mark Uth will stay in Köln. 1.FC Köln have extended the contract with the attacker ahead of time until summer 2025.

1.FC Köln Managing Director, Christian Keller said, “Mark and his qualities going forward make him a player that can make the difference. On the way to European qualification, Mark was a key player and a leader. We are convinced that he will be just that once he returns from injury. Therefore, we are really looking forward to seeing him back on the pitch again soon and that he will be staying in Köln past summer.”

Mark Uth said, “When you are born in Köln, there is only one goal you have as a footballer: to play for 1. FC Köln. And I am pleased that I’m back after the times I’ve spent away from the club. FC is home for me and I feel more than at home here. For that reason, I am over the moon to continue playing for the club that I love and have supported for 31 years.”

Mark Uth was born on August 24, 1991 in Köln. In 2004, he arrived from TuS Langel into the FC academy. Between 2007 and 2009, he played for Viktoria Köln before returning to 1.FC Köln’s Under-19s and then featuring for the Under-21s between 2010 and 2012.

His current clubs to date in professional football include SC Heerenveen, Heracles Almelo, TSG Hoffenheim and FC Schalke 04. After the loan to 1.FC Köln in the 2019-20 second leg, he signed for 1.FC Köln permanently in summer 2021.

For 1.FC Köln, he has made 48 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 10 goals and setting up a further 14. Overall, the 31-year-old has featured 174 times in the Bundesliga (44 goals, 29 assists).
