2018/19 UEFA Nations League – League Phase draw out!

World champions Germany’s match-up with France and the Netherlands was perhaps the highlight as the draw for the League Phase of the inaugural UEFA Nations League, to be played from September, was made in Lausanne earlier today.

LEAGUE A

Group 1: Germany, France, Netherlands
Group 2: Belgium, Switzerland, Iceland
Group 3: Portugal, Italy, Poland
Group 4: Spain, England, Croatia

– Four group winners play-off for the UEFA Nations League trophy in June 2019
– Four sides that finish bottom of groups relegated to League B for 2020 edition
– Top four-ranked League A teams that do not qualify for UEFA EURO 2020 enter play-offs in March 2020, with one EURO finals place on offer

LEAGUE B

Group 1: Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic
Group 2: Russia, Sweden, Turkey
Group 3: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Ireland
Group 4: Wales, Republic of Ireland, Denmark

– Four group winners promoted to League A for 2020 edition
– Four sides that finish bottom of groups relegated to League C for 2020 edition
– Top four-ranked League B teams that do not qualify for UEFA EURO 2020 enter play-offs in March 2020, with one EURO finals place on offer

LEAGUE C

Group 1: Scotland, Albania, Israel
Group 2: Hungary, Greece, Finland, Estonia
Group 3: Slovenia, Norway, Bulgaria, Cyprus
Group 4: Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania
