2021-22 Mizoram Premier League has been cancelled!

The Mizoram Football Association, Mizoram Premier League club stakeholders and Zonet TV (MFA partner for MPL) have announced that the 2021-22 season Mizoram Premier League will be cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The three bodies held a meeting today where the conclusion was made to forgo this season’s edition of Mizoram’s top tier league.

Lack of sufficient time for clubs as well as financial losses, Covid-19 protocol formulated by the state government where only 50 people are allowed for the conduct of the match and spectators are not allowed in the stadium were among the reasons for the decision.

Meanwhile, plans for the MPL Under-18 as well as the Mizoram Under-15 League were given the green light to proceed in 2022 depending on the Covid situation on the state.
