2023 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup in Thailand – Facts & Figures!

The AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup makes a return after four years with Pattaya, Thailand to host the 2023 edition.

Japan are the most successful team in the competition with three title triumphs – 2009, 2011 and 2019.

UAE 2023 Lure

The top two teams will join hosts United Arab Emirates as Asia’s representatives at the 2023 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

UAE are the last team to have won the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup as hosts – registering consecutive triumphs in 2007 and 2008

Elite category

Japan (3 titles), UAE (2), Iran (2), Oman (1) and Bahrain (1) are the five countries to have won the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup title since its inaugural tournament in 2006.

Japanese star Ozu Moreira has the overall highest number of goals scored with a haul of 31 goals.
