3rd AFC Internship Programme concludes successfully!

The third edition of the AFC Internship Programme drew to an end when the four enrolled candidates shared their final presentations earlier today at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.

The three-month long programme is one of the many initiatives launched by the AFC which aim to train future leaders of Asian football.

With the development of the Confederation’s Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) forming one of the key pillars of the AFC’s Vision and Mission, the initiative proved to be an excellent platform for the interns to gain hands-on experience from some of the most renowned experts on the Continent.

The four interns underwent an intense training period during which time they were assigned to the Competitions & Football Events Division (CFED), Technical Division and the Member Association Division.

The chance to observe and learn the administrative and operational activities of the AFC on a daily basis, helped the candidates expand their knowledge on the best practices in football governance.

The capacity building effort, which has been curated in a way to include a perfect balance of practical as well as structured theoretical learning, is directed towards providing the participants with the tools and opportunities that will be necessary for them to impart their knowledge and contribute to the strengthening of the administrative standards in their respective associations.

The interns for the third batch and their designated divisions are as follows:

Luning Wang, Chinese Football Association (CFED)
Tsolmonbayar Lkhagva, Mongolian Football Federation (CFED)
Ahmed Humaid Nasser Al-Salhi, Oman Football Association (Technical Division)
Nafel Fawaz Arab, Saudi Arabian Football Federation (Member Association Division)
