3rd AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme 2024 kicks off!

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) welcomed its third batch of participants for the Knowledge Sharing Programme 2024 on Monday.

Tailored to enhance the capabilities of the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) in their overall football administration development, the month-long programme which concludes on March 29 will provide the participants with the opportunity to learn from and work alongside some of the best minds in the industry.

Built on the legacy of the landmark AFC Internship Programme, the third instalment of the Knowledge Sharing Programme will feature five chosen participants – one candidate each from the Chinese Football Association (CFA), Japan Football Association (JFA), Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) and Myanmar Football Federation (MFF), and an independent candidate.

During this period, the participants will receive hands-on training from the AFC’s experts on the best practices of football governance and administration, and day-to-day operations in the AFC’s Member Association Division and Competition and the Football Events Division (CFED).

Once equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to become future leaders of Asian football, the candidates will be expected to impart their knowledge upon returning to their respective organisations and facilitate the implementation of necessary policies to elevate governance standards.

Designed to maximise the potential of its MAs and RAs, the capacity-building initiative is yet another instance of the AFC’s unwavering commitment towards being a leading Confederation and making football the number one sport on the Continent.

The Knowledge Sharing Programme is open to all employees of the AFC’s MAs and RAs. Moreover, candidates from the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence who have graduated with “distinction” will also have the opportunity to be part of the programme.
