9 associations bidding to host 2021 UEFA club finals!

UEFA has announced that it has received bid dossiers from nine member associations to host UEFA club competition finals in 2021.

The bidding procedure for the selection of the venues to host the finals of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women’s Champions League and UEFA Super Cup in 2021, was launched in October 2018.

In total, nine associations have sent their bid dossiers to UEFA by the February 15, 2019 deadline.

UEFA Champions League:

  • Germany, Munich, Arena München
  • Russia, St. Petersburg, Saint Petersburg Stadium

UEFA Europa League:

  • Georgia, Tbilisi, Boris Paichadze Erovnuli Stadioni – Dinamo Arena
  • Spain, Sevilla, Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán

UEFA Super Cup:

  • Belarus, Minsk, Dinamo Stadium
  • Finland, Helsinki, Helsinki Olympic Stadium
  • Northern Ireland, Belfast, National Football Stadium of Windsor Park
  • Ukraine, Kharkiv, Metalist Stadium

UEFA Women’s Champions League:

  • Sweden, Gothenburg, Gamla Ullevi

The UEFA Executive Committee will select the successful host associations for the finals of the 2021 UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women’s Champions League and UEFA Super Cup on May 29, 2019.

The decision on the 2021 UEFA Champions League final will be made in September 2019, although the bidding process will not be reopened and remains reserved to the registered bidders.

UEFA has also announced that it has opened the bidding process for the 2022 and 2023 UEFA Champions League finals, culminating with the appointment of the respective hosts also in September 2019. The deadline for UEFA member associations to confirm their intention to submit a bid for the above-mentioned finals (2022 and 2023) is March 22, 2019.
