The 26-year-old wide-man has signed for VfB Stuttgart from Portuguese giants SL Benfica.
Gil Dias has joined VfB Stuttgart from Benfica with immediate effect. The 26-year-old wide-man, who has won 10 caps for Portugal’s U-21 side, spent time in Serie A in Italy, Ligue 1 in France and LaLiga in Spain before joining SL Benfica.
The left-footer has signed a contract until June 30, 2025 and will wear the number 31 jersey.
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “In Gil Dias, we’re signing a player who can be used in multiple wide positions. In the short term we’re reacting to the injury to Tiago Tomás, but he is also a valuable addition to our squad in the long term. We warmly welcome him to VfB.”
