The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed today that the upcoming AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament – Asian Qualifiers Round 3 first-leg tie between North Korea and Japan, set to be played on February 24, 2024, will take place at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The decision to host the match in a neutral venue was taken after careful consideration and in consultation with FIFA and the relevant stakeholders, after it was deemed not feasible for the fixture to be played in Pyongyang, North Korea as originally scheduled.
