Pathachakra Under-19 boys won their opening match 5-0 against Southern Samity U-19 in the 121st IFA Shield at the Howrah Maidan.
Inspite of having total dominance over the match Pathachakra could not break the deadlock till the end of the first half and the scoreline remained goalless.
However in the second half of the match Pathachakra U-19 scored five goals goals through Arup Roy (2), Basudeb Mandi, Supratik Barui and Dipankar Baral which won them the three points.
Pathachakra U-19 will play their next match in the IFA Shield on Wednesday, May 17 against the SAIL Football Academy from Burnpur at the same venue from 3.30pm onwards.
