AIFF ExCo allows I-League clubs to register Six Foreigners!

The AIFF Executive Committee have taken the final decision with regards to the number of foreign players in the upcoming 2017/18 I-League.

The I-League clubs will be allowed to register a total of six foreign players out of which at least two players have to be from an AFC Member Association (Federation).

Out of the six contracted foreigners, the I-League clubs can field a maximum of five foreign players in a match out of which a minimum one player has to be from an AFC Member Association (Federation).

Over the last few years as per AFC rules and regulations, the AIFF had allowed four foreign signings in the I-League under the three plus one rule of three foreigners from around the world and one from an AFC Member Association (Federation) with all four allowed to be fielded in the I-League at the same time.
