Day 3 of Indian Women’s League qualifiers sees contrasting victories!

Contrasting victories were the seen today, November 27 on the third day of the Indian Women’s League qualifiers in Kolhapur at the Rajarshi Shahu Stadium.

While Sethu FC notched a 2-0 win against a resilient Jammu & Kashmir State Sports Council Team, Indira Gandhi Academy for Sports & Education had it easy against Baroda Football Academy where they romped home to a 15-0 win.

In the opening fixture of the day Jammu & Kashmir State Sports Council put a valiant effort before going down 0-2 to Sethu FC from Madurai. A couple of errors cost the northern side in an otherwise astute performance from the losing side. Rutuja Gunwant was adjudged as the Player of the Match for her display.

The second match saw Indira Gandhi Academy for Sports & Education took the field for the first time as they dominated the young Baroda Football Academy side. Sandhya R was awarded with the Player of the Match award for stellar performance in which she scored eight goals in her team’s 15-0 victory.
