A young United SC lose 0-2 to Southern Samity in the Calcutta Premier Division – A!

CFL - United SC - Southern SamityA young United SC fell short to lose 0-2 to Southern Samity in their 2016 Calcutta Premier Division – A encounter at the Barasat Municipal Stadium in Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon.

Midfielder Basanta Singh (4th) and former India striker Ashim Biswas (55th) scored on either side of the break to earn the maiden win of the competition for Southern Samity.

Despite missing five key players in Eric Brown and Bello Rasaq due to non-arrival besides Babun Das, Dinesh Bhagat and Jagannath Oraon due to injuries the Subrata Bhattacharya coached side played some spirited football throughout the game but inexperience cost the Purple Brigade yet another match.

United SC will take on Peerless SC next on Thursday, August 11 at the same time and venue.
