AFC expresses condolences on passing of Kairan Wang!

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has offered its condolences to the family, friends and teammates of former China starlet Kairan “Max” Wang who passed away at the age of just 15.

After moving to the Netherlands just over five years ago, Wang played for Dutch club DHC Delft before securing a move to Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag. He was also called up to the China U-16 national team earlier this year but was unable to join the side due to the travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The thoughts and prayers of the AFC and the rest of the Asian football family are with Wang’s family, friends and the Chinese Football Association during this difficult time.
